As a general surgeon in California, Dr. Stafford performs a range of of surgeries and operations, usually focusing on areas and organs of the abdomen and their related organs. Dr. Stafford may utilize invasive or minimally-invasive surgical techniques, with the latter reducing recovery time and stress on the patient's body.

Dr. Stafford earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1984. He went on to complete both his internship training and his residency at the Martin Luther King Jr. Outpatient Center (formerly known as the King-Drew Medical Center) in Willowbrook, California.

Dr. Stafford is dual-board certified in critical care surgery and general surgery by the American Board of Surgery; he’s also a diplomate of the American Board of Surgical Critical Care.

He has successfully performed thousands of procedures, both in the operating room and in his private practice. With extensive experience treating people of all ages, ethnicities, and skin types, Dr. Stafford operates from the philosophy that it’s essential to get to know each patient and recognize their individual needs.
